CALL for PAPERS: REMINDER
10 Years of the Euro: Adjustment in Capital and Labour Markets
7-8 of May 2009
School of Economics and Management
University of Minho, Braga, Portugal

The Economic Policies Research Unit of the University of Minho (NIPE) –
Portugal - is organising a two-day conference, on the 7th and 8th of May 2009, on the topic “10 Years of the Euro: Adjustment in Capital and Labour Markets”.
Developments in capital markets, namely, current account imbalances and financial integration, and labour markets rigidities have been among the most noticed difficulties some countries have been facing after adopting the Euro.
To discuss these issues, and the lessons that emerge from the analysis of the first 10 years of Economic and Monetary Union, we encourage you to participate in the conference by submitting a paper.

Plenary sessions will benefit from the participation of
Frank Smets (European Central Bank)
John Driffill (Birkbeck College, University of London)
Jorge Braga de Macedo (Universidade Nova, Lisboa)

Paper submissions should be sent to nipe@eeg.uminho.pt, until February 28th 2009.
Submitters will be notified about the status of their submissions by March 15th, 2009.
