Call for Papers and Participation
The Tourism Research Unit of
the Athens Institute for Education andResearch (ATINER) organizes its 10th Annual
International Conference on Tourism, 9-12 June 2014, Athens, Greece. For programs of previous
conferences and other information, please visit the conference website www.atiner.gr/tourism.htm. The
registration fee is €300 (euro), covering access to all sessions, two lunches,
coffee breaks and conference material. Special arrangements will be made with a
local luxury hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate.
In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of
entertainment with dinner, a special one-day cruise in the Greek islands, an
archaeological tour of Athens and a one-day visit to Delphi. The aim of the
conference is to bring together scholars, researchers and students from all
areas of Tourism. Areas of interest include (but are not confined to):

- Mega Events (Olympics Games) and Tourism

- International Tourist Organizations (i.e. WTO, WTTC etc).

Past
conferences drew more than 300 participants from five continents and about 50
countries (Australia, Austria ,Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Costa
Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary,
Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia,
Mauritius, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Mauritius,
Romania, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, U.K., UAE,
USA), presenting papers on diverse topics. Presentations and papers are published (a) in a book of abstracts (http://www.atiner.gr/docs/ABSTRACT-PUBLICATIONS.htm),
(b) in ATINER'S conference paper series (http://www.atiner.gr/papers.htm) and
(c) in an edited book (http://www.atiner.gr/docs/TOURISM_PUBLICATIONS.htm).
If
you think that you can contribute, please send an abstract of about 300 words,
via email only (atiner@atiner.gr), before
the 11 November 2013 to: Dr. Valia Kasimati, Head, Tourism Research
Unit, ATINER. Please include the following: Title of Paper, Full Name
(s), Current Position, Institutional Affiliation, an email address, and at
least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of your submission. Please
use the abstract submitting form available at http://www.atiner.gr/2014/FORM-TOU.doc.
All abstracts should be submitted in English. If you want to participate
without presenting a paper, click here for the

papers to be included in the conference proceedings or books, contribute to the
