Call for papers: 9th Meeting of the Portuguese Economics Journal, Azores, Portugal

«We invite researchers, irrespective of their institutional or geographical affiliation, to submit theoretical, applied or policy-oriented papers in any field of economics to our conference.
The conference will be held at the University of Azores, Campus of Angra do Heroísmo in Terceira Island, Portugal, on July 3-5, 2015.
To submit a paper, send an e-mail to pej2015_papers@iae.csic.es attaching the paper in pdf format. The deadline is March 15, 2015.
*Submission guidelines*
Papers should be written in English. Please make sure you add an abstract (up to 600 words), keywords, and JEL classification codes to the title page.

The Keynote Lecture will be delivered by Sergio Rebelo (Northwestern University, USA)

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to participate in the 15th EBES Conference, in Lisbon, Portugal, which will bring together many distinguished researchers from all over the world. Participants will find opportunities for presenting new research, exchanging information, and discussing current issues. 
 
Although we focus on Europe and Asia, all papers from major economics, finance, and business fields - theoretical or empirical - are highly encouraged. Qualified papers will be published in the EBES journals (Eurasian Business Review and Eurasian Economic Review) and EBES 2015 Anthology. EBES journals (EER & EBR) are published by Springer

In addition, all the submitted full papers will be included in the conference proceedings CD. After the conference, participants will also have the opportunity to send their paper to be published in the Springer’s series Springer Proceedings in Business and Economics. This will also be sent to Thomson Reuters in order to be reviewed for coverage in its Conference Proceedings Citation Index. Please note that the 10th EBES Conference Proceedings and 11th EBES Conference Proceedings have been accepted for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index. Subsequent conference proceedings are under evaluation.

"Call for abstracts for the International Conference SOUTHERN AND MEDITERRANEAN EUROPE: SOCIAL CHANGE, CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN A TIME OF CRISIS"

«Dear friends and colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to the I international mini-conference ‘SOUTHERN AND MEDITERRANEAN EUROPE: SOCIAL CHANGE, CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN A TIME OF CRISIS’ to be held in Evora, Portugal, 11-12 December.
The conference is organized by the RSG: Southern and Mediterranean Europe: Social Change, Challenges and Opportunities. This Research and Study Group is supported by the European Society for Rural Sociology (ESRS) and it aims to become a space for discussion amongst scholars, policy-makers, stakeholders, local activists, etc. about the impact of current crisis and public policies on rural territories of Southern and Mediterranean Europe. 
Some of the issues aimed to be tackled in the conference are the following:
-          The impact of crisis in social change processes
-          Emergence of new social inequalities
-          New processes of empowerment and disempowerment of rural communities
-          Resilient strategies to overcome new challenges
-          Migration to and from rural areas
-          New models of rural governance
-          Rural welfare
-          Emancipatory movements and spaces
-          Mobilities
-          Any other issue related to the impact of current crisis on rural territories will be considered.

The Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) organizes its 8th Annual International Conference on Mediterranean Studies which will be held in Athens, Greece on 30-31 March & 1-2 April 2015. The conference website is: www.atiner.com/mediterranean.htm.
The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars, researchers and students from all areas of Mediterranean Studies, such as history, arts, archaeology, philosophy, culture, sociology, politics, international relations, economics, business, sports, environment and ecology, etc.

A proposta do Conselho, formado por professores da USP, UFF, Unicamp e outras importantes universidades, quando criou o Instituto, foi resgatar e incentivar uma parte da nossa pesquisa pouco privilegiada nos centros acadêmicos, como a História Comparativa, a História Econômica e a História Política.

STC'14 (Sport Tourism Conference 2014) - Sport Tourism: New Challenges in a Globalized World - (www.esec.pt/stc2014) has an open call for papers, with deadline extended by June 15, 2014.
STC'14 will be held in Coimbra, Portugal, from 10th-12th December 2014, at Coimbra College of Education.

We hope that you can participate in this congress by submitting a paper reflecting your current research in one of the following areas:
- Sport Tourism Policies and Development
- Sport Tourism Environmental, Economic and Social Impacts
- Sport Tourism, Innovation and Competitiveness
- Sport Tourism Supply and Demand Issues
- Sport Tourism Events
- Sport Tourism History
- Sport Tourism Management
- Sport Tourism and New Consumption Spaces
- New Trends in Sport Tourism

All the papers accepted and presented at STC'14 will be published in the conference proceedings e-book (with ISBN: 978-989-98016-4-6), and in the abstracts book (ISBN: 978-989-98016-3-9). Moreover, we are planning to publish suitable papers in different formats, such as in a book of international publishers, and a special edition in one international journal, with reference for the presented topics.

 Please also note the following deadlines:
- Submission of proposals (maximum of 500 words): by 15 June 2014.
- Notification of accepted proposals: by 15 July 2014.
- Regular registration: by 20th July 2014.
- Submission of final paper (maximum 15 pages): until 15 September 2014.
- Late registration: by 15th September 2014.
- Scientific committee comments: will be sent to the authors until 15th October 2014.
- Revised versions: will be submitted no later than 30th October 2014.
- Sport Tourism Conference: 10th-12th December 2014
